Homage To A Great Son Of The Soil

In India, Politics on May 15, 2010 at 9:27 am

I felt a sudden vacuum on  learning about the demise of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. A colossus and immensely popular personality who cut across all party lines and had friends & followers across the entire length and breadth of the country. Politics in India and the state of Rajasthan will never be the same without him. One will always remember his imposing and stately images of chairing the proceedings of  the Upper House of Indian Parliament. His rise from a small farming family to the Vice President of India is truly an ode to the  common man of India.

In his death, we have lost a popular leader.
